Meowdy! I’m Tabasco! My siblings and I found our way to Big Lake Humane Society in a cardboard box and were very shy and undersocialized.  I do great now that kind people have showed me that being petted isn’t so bad (I really like it now).  I was adopted and had a great home and even had a best friend who was a dog but sadly my owner passed away so here I am homeless again.  If you could find it in your heart to give me a forever home, maybe with a dog to play with, that would be so awesome, I promise you won’t regret it.

Bonjourno! I’m Frederica.  I came to the shelter with a couple of other cats I grew up with.  I grew up outside most of my life, hunting for bugs/mice/chipmunks etc. not something I’m really proud of because I think of myself as a tender hearted soul.  I do appreciate the pets that come from people and playing with my friends at the Whisker Room.  I like to hang out and watch the action and get into the mix when the timing is right.  I would love a place to call home and hope someone will find it in their heart to give it to me.

My name is Spenser and I am about 2 and a half years old.  I came to the shelter with my sister Chiefette who already found her forever home so I am patiently waiting for my turn.  I can be a little shy at first with new people but once the pets start to come, I won’t leave you alone.  I like all my friends at the Whisker Room and get along with all of them.  Please consider me as your next family member.

Jazzy here!  Come curl up with me and listen to some tunes.  I made my way to the shelter after being abandoned at a vet clinic.  Now I’m at the Whisker Room hoping to find my forever home.  I am a bit older than the older cats here, but I like to consider myself more mature.  I’m pretty quiet and very sweet.  I get along with all of the other kitties at the cafe too.

The Whisker Room is a proud partner of Big Lake Humane Society, a nonprofit animal shelter and clinic serving Muskegon and surrounding communities since 1972. The organization is dedicated to helping people and pets in need. Their facilities have continued to grow, and they now reside on ten acres of property with trails and fenced agility areas, providing all their animals with both physical and mental enrichment.

Whether you fall in love with one of our whiskered friends at the cafe or are looking for another cat, dog, or furry companion, adopting through Big Lake Humane Society helps support their mission to provide happy and healthy homes for animals! The adoption process starts on their website, where you can find applications and photos of all the feline friends who need a home.
