This photo might look funny, I swear I’m not biting, I’m actually giving licks to this wonderful boy for reading such a great story to me.  I absolutely love the attention and appreciate humans coming to see me. My name is Hansel and as you can see, I love hanging around with humans.  I had the opportunity to be read to by some pretty cool kids and I loved every minute of it.  I was brought to the shelter with my brother Zoolander but it was not our fault trust me.  I’m looking for a family of my own who will love and cuddle me for the rest of my life.  I get along with everyone and just want the opportunity to show what a great family member I could be. The humans think I’m “regal” looking, I’m not sure what that means but I think it’s good.  I am very silky and soothing to pet, you will love having me sit on your lap to read or watch TV.  I like to play and get along with just about everyone once I get use to them.  I’m looking for a family that enjoys cuddles, kisses and unconditional love. The Whisker Room is a proud partner of Big Lake Humane Society, a nonprofit animal shelter and clinic serving Muskegon and surrounding communities since 1972. The organization is dedicated to helping people and pets in need. Their facilities have continued to grow, and they now reside on ten acres of property with trails and fenced agility areas, providing all their animals with both physical and mental enrichment.

Whether you fall in love with one of our whiskered friends at the cafe or are looking for another cat, dog, or furry companion, adopting through Big Lake Humane Society helps support their mission to provide happy and healthy homes for animals! The adoption process starts on their website, where you can find applications and photos of all the feline friends who need a home.
